Summer is here! Moms and Dads are planning their summer trips and activities. One of the top destinations is where else? The Beach! We are happy about that.

This summer we have something truly amazing & special and never been done before here at Ocean Isle Inn. We are hosting a Miss Lori ACTIVATE Family Concert. Recording Artist, Educator, and former PBS Kids TV Host, Miss Lori is coming to the Ocean Isle Inn! You and your family will want to be here for this fun-filled weekend. The event is Father’s Day Weekend, June 18^th and 19^th. Come to your favorite place and stay on the beautiful North Carolina coast to enjoy this amazing Artist entertaining the whole family. It is going to be a real honor to host Miss Lori and the CAMPUS Kids here at the Ocean Isle Inn. Come and ACTIVATE your imaginations with Miss Lori!

She is coming to visit all the way from Chicago, and this promises to be a weekend to remember. “Miss Lori combines music and theatrical elements to get kids on their feet, so that even watching her on TV is hardly a passive experience. Her performances sample everything from calypso to hip-hop to the Electric Slide.” – Chicago Tribune

Children's Camp at Ocean Isle Beach

If you vacation with younger children who may not as yet have developed an appreciation for the beach, sun, and ocean water, we have a suggestion for their entertainment.

Again, for 2010, the town of Ocean Isle Beach will be sponsoring a Childrens’ Camp beginning on the first Monday of June and will run until the third Thursday in August.

Camp OIB is located at the Community Center at 44 East First Street-just a short walk from the Ocean Isle Inn. Sessions are held 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday from 10:00 until 12:00, weather permitting. Campers ages are from 3 to 10 years of age. Camp OIB can accommodate up to 35 campers per day. Camp registration begins each day at 9:30 and no reservations are required. An adult must stay with the child for the daily camp session. The camp is provided free of charge but donations are greatly appreciated.

The activities include games, arts and crafts, music, dancing, and stories representing various themes such as boating & water safety; turtles; mermaids and tropics; pirates; seashells, and beach games.

This is also provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to meet other children while they are away from their friends at home. The adults will also enjoy meeting other vacationers from around the world, and often they will arrange beach play dates for their children while at Ocean Isle Beach.

So, come see us and bring the whole family! There are plenty of things to do during your vacation at Ocean Isle Beach.
