The Festival is a celebration of Wilmington’s outstanding artwork, culture, gardens and rich history during five days that will provide a vast assortment of special events including a lively parade, street fair, circus, assorted concerts, pageantry, and so much more that is purely Southern.
Since its inception in 1948, the North Carolina Azalea Festival has blossomed into an extended weekend celebration that attracts over 300,000 people. For more than 60 years, the folks of southeastern North Carolina have been throwing the best party in the South and you’re invited!
There’s something for everyone here that includes a rich array of artwork, gardens, history and culture. Events Include the Azalea 5k / Walk / Run, the Queen’s Coronation, the concert featuring local musical performances, the Circus, Art Show, Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Tour, the Street Fair, parade, coin show, boxing match, the historic home show and lots more!

North Carolina Azalea Festival Events
Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour
Being held from to from April th – th, 2017.
Tickets are $25.00 (plus tax) to cover all three days and are available now in the North Carolina Azalea Festival Ticket Office.
Spread out over three days, April th – th, the North Carolina Azalea Festival Street Fair is a free, family event with more than 330 arts and craft vendors, 40 food vendors, 2 stages, a Children’s Area and a whole lot of fun!
The Street Fair is located in downtown Wilmington on Water, Front, and Market Streets.
Historic Home Tour
The Historic Home Tour is a self-guided tour of homes in Wilmington, NC. The homes will be available for tour Saturday, April 8th from – and on Sunday, April 9th from – p.m.
Tickets are $30 and will go up to $35 on the day of the event.
