Welcome Back for part two of the Re-Cap of the NC Mom Bloggers Conference at the Ocean Isle Inn.
Saturday we were once again greeted by sunny skies as typical of the Carolina Coast. What better location to have a conference than at the beach. Before our noon session started many attendees found themselves taking time to explore the surrounding area or even taking time for a leisurely stroll on the beach. But it wasn’t all about fun. The days lineup of speakers touched on topics ranging from Building Online Relationships to more about SEO. Molly Gold from GOMom.Inc offered an especially dynamic presentation on effective organization tools for busy bloggers. (She was aslo kind enough to personally deliver my order of Girl Scout Cookies – Thanks) BTW – did you know that Girl Scouts can receive a merit badge for online cookie orders? What a great way to use the power of Social Media to enhance a young persons life!
Saturday afternoon we were treated to 2 amazing speakers with a bit of a different approach – from the perspective of the business and PR agency. Cord Silverstein from Capstrat in Raleigh, NC taught us all some basic tips & tricks to grow our online visibility. He also told us some of the basic points that a PR or Media agency would be looking at on our own respective pages. You’ve only got a few seconds to capture their attention! Following Cord’s presentation we heard from Erin Lane, Director of Marketing Communication for Scandinavian Child, also one of conference sponsors. Erin gave us insight into the way bloggers should approach businesses when seeking a working relationship with them. Later that night we were all treated to a NC Barbecue & Chicken dinner with all the fixins courtesy of Scandinavian Child.
Aside from the great speakers and the many meals we shared, the greatest thing was all the relationships that were formed strolling along the beach or frolicking in the indoor pool after hours. We truly did bring the best of blogging to the beach.
Ocean Isle Inn Brand Ambassador, Chele Chestnut has an extensive collection of posts about the conference on her site, The Bonafide Life. Please feel free to share your post conference stories with her.
Did you know you can also share your thoughts about our property with our customers on TripAdvisor? Why, I’d be delighted to have each of you share your comments about our Inn. It’s always beneficial for us to hear what our customers are saying.
Again, thank you all so much for participating in the first NC Mom Bloggers Beach Conference. Your enthusiasm and support is what has made this a success!
